Welcome to my page! My name is Raffi Jamgotchian. I'm a graduate in Civil Engineering and Finance but my ambitions have changed for the long haul! I dream in code and it only makes sense that I transition those dreams into reality - by practicing software engineer professionally. I've had real world experience as a civil engineer, and briefly, as a geotech engineer, but none of those roles brought me fulfilment. Additionally, I've never studied outside of my university coursework for either of those aforementioned disciplines. However, the opposite is true in this case as I've self-studied (and still am) the high-level language Python, its web framework Django, and a few of its libraries. When it comes to solving a problem on HackerRank, or even completing my first Python script, that's when I felt real accomplishment.

From building my own PC, to creating my first Python script, and now crafting this work-in-progress website (definitely needs a visual overhaul), I'm excited to grow not only personally, but professionally by challenging myself and pushing the boundaries on the daily. Always learning and not afraid of uncertainties, as anything can be adapted to. Currently I'm learning the fundamentals of data structures and algorithms, to be followed by a deep dive into AI.
